Hull Fair: Art On The Rides is a new book by Keaton & George Brignall McDougall which provides in-depth coverage of 17 Rides from Hull Fair through over 400 images and accompanying history of each ride. In addition, the book features essays by Arantza Burrutia Ezenarro, senior archivist at the national fairground and circus archive and Graham Downie, chairman of the fairground association of Great Britain.

“Hull Fair is one of the oldest fairs in the world, it’s been running for over 700 years.
Taking place every October just off Walton Street, it stretches 16 acres and includes over 250 rides and attractions making it the biggest travelling fun fair in Europe.

It’s the only place where all the roaming fair ground rides in the UK meet up all at once.”

Using our typeface, Hutton, throughout, Hull Fair: Art On The Rides is a fascinating and wonderfully presented collection of under-appreciated art and artists.
